Wax Poetic will play songs from their new album ' On a ride" tonight at midnight and 2 am.. DJ Who am I will spin all night , inbetween and after the bands , Yasmine Hamdan , vocalist of Nouvelle Vague will sing a set at 11 pm and Nick Gianni is having a record release party at 10 pm. Busy night with good music .. come on by !

CRIOLO AT PRACA ROSAvelt...SUN OCT 22 /2012 SAO PAULO

Pretty amazing day in Sao Paulo . More than 20 000 people from all parts of Sao Paulo, including the suburbs, took to the streets to claim the public spaces and demand a Sao Paulo with more love. "MAIS AMOR POR FAVOR" said the banners. The love energy was mixed with a political determination to fight what people perceive as an injust, racist and violent city (the mayor of SP is compared to NYC's once upon a time mayor Giuliani..).  Criolo came up on stage with a messiah like persona to him. Very rare to see these days anywhere.... The crowd rocked the lyrics with him on every song. Criolo is a super indie guy , no big prodution behind him or anything. It basically just happened naturally, because they  feel him. Beautiful day! Let's spread this movement all around the globe....ONE LOVE

Last night with OTTO and band in Rio at Circo Voador...good times..Tonight , at Nublu Istanbul  , HESS IS MORE from Nublu NYC , playing for the Istanbul scene ! I heard last night it was real good vibes and great music ...people came out. And today , very special and rare occassion to see the great Trumpet/music man Erik Truffaz in NYC at Nublu . Go check em out !! Erik will also be at Nublu Sunday night ....

Jorge de Peixe , Talita and Charlie from Laborg, the team that does backdrops and visuals. They did backdrop, light and visuals for  the Nublu jazz fest and the Nublu curated Nublu Istanbul fest in Sao Paulo this past year.Maria Alcina , Otto and Bem Gil , Karina Buhr and Thalma de Freitas , Guizado -Karina and Ganjaman in the background , Guizado and band , Bnegao..

Cool TRIP magazine had a big party in Sao Paulo at Cine Joia with an all star Brazil cast . A tribute to Gilberto Gil , good times....Guizado and band with guests Otto , Karina Buhr, Jorge de Peixe , Nublu's Ilhan Ersahin on sax, Thalma de Freitas , Bem Gil ,Marina Alcina and Bnegao.

Tonight Guilherme Monteiro , great guitar man of Forro in the Dark, will try a new thing...since Mauro Refosco is out with Red  Hot Chili Peppers and Jorge Continentino is out with Bebel Gilberto .Gui will do Forro roots style ...an old thing but a new thing since its NYC and Nublu.... come on by. Early set is Ze Luis a great saxophonist who has played with Cazuza, Bebel Gilberto, Gilberto Gil , Bebel Gilberto and many many more...dj Greg Caz on the turntables spinin great brasil tracks..here on the pic with Andy Rourke from the Smiths !!
